This acrylic painting is one in a series that I painted the last few years. Although they are not specifically symbolic or archetypal, I feel they have an underlying correspondence with the unconscious and dreams.I think of the imagery in terms of music or poetry...tonality,harmony,resonance, etc.
I work mostly in acrylic, but have also most recently been utilizing glazes with oil paint.
